I have agreed to screen resumes for my friend Minita whose district encompasses the assembly district where I am managing a campaign. I can't vouch for what she is like as an employer, but she seems like a very competent candidate. I will say that I wish I knew she was going to need a campaign manager before I committed myself to the assembly race.
**Campaign Manager **
A competitive Democratic State Senate campaign based in Upstate New York is seeking a **Campaign Manager. **
The campaign manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the campaign, including but not limited to field, finance, and political.
The campaign manager will:
- Serve as main point of contact for the campaign
- Collaborate with the consulting team
- Manage social media posts and sharing campaign updates
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers to fulfill needs of the field plan
- Work closely with the candidate and fundraising team to maintain schedule
- Other tasks as needed
- Be willing to relocate (or current live) to the area just north of Albany, NY
An ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Previous significant campaign experience, including organizing or finance
- Ability to work long hours and weekends
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to community involvement and electing Democratic leaders
- Experience with NGP/VAN
- Campaign Management or Field Director experience
