Salary: $15-$20/hr, depending on experience 
Hours: Variable week to week, but always under 40 hrs/week 
Job Description: 
A TargetSmart Data Acquisition Intern provides research, locates, and acquires public and proprietary data sources, and ultimately assists in the ingestion and initial preparation of new data sources. The Data Acquisition Intern works as a member of the Data Team to ensure that we acquire the best source data for our products. The Data Acquisition Intern works with the Data Acquisition Manager and Data Build Managers to communicate data source details and timelines for acquisition, and ensure deadlines are met. The Data Acquisition Intern will share source data details and assist in the ingestion and initial preparation of new data sources. Maintains relationships with source data providers and documents all details regarding acquisition processes. 
 
Duties and Responsibilities: 
- Ensure on-time delivery of designated information requests 
- Manages time effectively to meet deadlines 
- Submits, documents, tracks and monitors acquisition requests 
- Verifies and documents the validity of all data sources 
- Documents all data source details relevant to ingestion and usage 
- Fulfills TargetSmart documentation requirements 
- Estimates costs and timelines of acquisition projects 
- Monitors all recurring acquisition processes and communicates issues to appropriate team members 
- Professionally communicates internally and externally with stakeholders as appropriate. 
- Attends all client and internal meetings and conference calls as needed. 
- Is available via email/phone during various business hours, as needed, across time zones (M-F).

- Strong organizational skills 
- Troubleshooting/problem-solving experience 
- Technical aptitude 
- Attention to detail 
- Solid communication skills 
- Experience with MS Excel 
Nice to Have Skills: 
- Experience working with relational databases / SQL 
- Alteryx 
- Python 
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field 
- Experience working with political data
