Job Description

Pat Ryan for Congress is seeking an Events Coordinator or Deputy Finance Director (title dependent on experience) for the 2024 election cycle. In 2022, Rep. Pat Ryan (NY-18) was the only Democrat in New York to win a toss-up race. NY-18 will be a top race nationally, so we’re building the team we’ll need to win again in 2024. We expect that this position will start in Q2 of 2024.

**Responsibilities**
The Events Coordinator (or Deputy Finance Director) will report directly to the Finance Director and will be responsible for a robust events program for a top-targeted Congressional Campaign. They will work closely with campaign leadership and candidate to:

- Staff the candidate during events call time and at events, including driving the candidate as needed
- Evaluate the success of the events program, work with leadership to optimize events strategy, both in district and nationally (and both in-person and virtual)
- Identify new event host prospects and cultivate current supporters with the aim of scheduling and executing successful fundraising events
- Conduct event build and follow-up, including invitation calls, event reminders, and pledge chase calls, thank you calls/notes
- Help with other aspects of the campaign as necessary

**Required Qualifications (Events Coordinator)**
- 1+ cycles of campaign experience (can include volunteer or intern experience), ideally in a finance role
- Proficiency with Google Docs, Sheets, Calendar
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
- Strong written and communication skills
- Discretion and strong judgment skills
- Drivers License and access to a car

**To be considered for the Deputy Finance Director position, applicants should possess several of the following: **
- 2+ cycles campaign experience, including at least 1 cycle in a finance role
- Prior Congressional campaign experience 
- Proficiency with ActBlue, NGP, and/or CallTime.AI
- Prior experience building and staffing fundraising events 

This is a full-time position based in the Hudson Valley with a competitive salary range of $4,500-5,000 per month for the Events Coordinator position, $5,500 - $6,500 per month for the Deputy Finance Director position, plus health benefits.
