JOB DESCRIPTION

  • 2-3 campaign cycles working in field and/or electoral data;

  • Intermediate proficiency, written, reading, and spoken, in Spanish and English;

  • 1 cycle of supervision of paid field staff (this could be part time or temporary staff like canvassers);

  • Experience working and training in a multigenerational, multiracial, and multicultural space;

  • Strong knowledge of VAN, including ability to train staff on using it;

  • Experience training field staff on canvassing, phone banking, and/or text banking;

  • Very strong ability to analyze, keep track of, and communicate field based data and metrics;

  • Experience working directly with volunteers, preferably in the field;

  • Experience driving a field campaign, start to finish;

  • Ability to be highly organized and highly communicative with coworkers up, down, and sideways;

  • Experience implementing a statewide field plan tailored to the assigned region and dividing a statewide goal into manageable goals for individual offices, chapters, districts, etc;

  • Highly reflective and able to offer and receive feedback on a regular basis;

  • Highly adaptable to changing political landscapes, program goals, and organizational capacity;

  • Ability to work long and irregular hours in a fast paced, metrics driven work environment;

  • Extremely strong project management skills;

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle;

  • Experience training field staff to do training highly preferred but not required;

  • Experience working at a blended c3/c4 organization preferred but not required;

  • Experience speaking with members of the press and helping a communications team to create content preferred but not required.
