Job Description
Join Mayor Daniella Levine Cava's reelection campaign and help ensure that she can continue her work tackling the affordability crisis, increasing access to affordable housing, preparing us for climate change, and improving residents' quality of life. As a Field Organizer, you will play a crucial role in the campaign's grassroots outreach efforts. Your primary responsibility will be to build and mobilize a strong, community-based volunteer network and grassroots organizing program.
**Responsibilities:**
1. Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers for candidate petitioning, canvassing, phone banking, and other campaign-related activities
2. Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and other stakeholders
3. Organize and coordinate volunteer events for the campaign
4. Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities, voter contacts, and other relevant data
5. Work closely with campaign leadership to ensure alignment with overall campaign goals
**Qualifications:**
1. Strong commitment to Mayor Levine Cava's vision for Miami-Dade County
2. Strong leadership abilities and experience cultivating collaborative, results-oriented teams
3. Excellent time-management and organizational skills
4. Experience with field tactics such as canvassing, phonebanking, and petitioning
5. Familiarity with Miami-Dade County and its many diverse communities
6. Spanish language skills preferred
**Pay & Expectations:**
1. Pay for this position is $3,500-4,000 per month depending on experience
2. This position will start asap and continue through November 2024
3. This is an onsite position, and work will be conducted in person
4. Reliable transportation for regular travel around the county
5. Availability to work outside of traditional work hours is required, including regular events on evenings and weekends
