Robin Kelly for Senate is searching for a Finance Director for the 2026 election cycle to lead Congresswoman Kelly’s fundraising program. The ideal candidate is experienced, entrepreneurial, and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills. This position is based in Chicago and the employee will be expected to regularly staff the Congresswoman in-person and virtually.
Responsibilities:
Develop and oversee a comprehensive campaign finance plan, tracking weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals, and communicating updates and opportunities for growth to the Campaign Manager and candidate
Manage the fundraising events calendar and coordinate candidate’s finance schedule
Manage and train a team of finance staff and consultants
Lead finance staff and consultants in growing the campaign fundraising network via a variety of fundraising tools and leveraging the candidate’s relationships
Staff national fundraising trips with the candidate as needed
Other duties as assigned, which may grow over the course of the cycle depending on the employee and campaign’s needs and demonstrated strengths.
Qualifications:
At least three cycles/5-6 years of experience in political campaign fundraising, including as an intern
Self-starter with a strong work ethic who is willing to work weekends and evenings in a fast-paced campaign environment
Demonstrated experience managing staff
Excellent computer skills, especially Excel and Google Spreadsheets
Familiarity with NGP, ActBlue, and call time software
Salary: $10,000-$12,000 per month based on experience and qualifications
