**About the Role**
The Media Planning Manager is responsible for building strategic digital media plans for our persuasion and mobilization programs this cycle. As a member of the Paid Media team, you’ll work closely with the creative, analytics, and project management teams to advise on program tactics, and use program reporting, internal polling and research, and industry best practices to inform future media plans. Your role will require you to work seamlessly and cross functionally with the Ad Ops team and other Priorities USA teams to ensure that our media plans are successfully executed. This position reports to the Media Planning + Buying Director. This position will have the option of being remote or working out of Washington, DC where we have an office, with occasional travel as needed. Working hours are 10AM to 6PM ET regardless of location.

**Responsibilities**
- Work closely with the Planning & Buying Director to build cutting edge, strategic digital media plans for persuasion and mobilization programs. Update plans as strategies change, budgets shift, and our program priorities realign. 
- Work across PUSA, including with Research, Polling, Analytics, and Ad Ops teams to ensure that media plans reflect learnings and best practices about our audiences and their media consumption habits. 
- Conduct communications with external ad tech vendors to secure ad inventory, launch campaigns, and manage reporting timelines, ensuring that these buys align with media plans.
- Work with Ad Ops staff to ensure that campaigns are ready for launch and that campaigns running align with media plans. As needed, support with tasks like Q/A’s and general trafficking needs. 
- Work with the Ad Ops staff to develop program insights and recommendations for program adjustments, optimizations, and future campaign strategies.
- Clearly communicate media plan updates to the Media Planning & Buying Director.
- Stay abreast of the changing media landscape and recommend programmatic changes accordingly.
- Maintain a level of flexibility in the specific expectations of this job as the Priorities program takes clearer shape.

**Qualifications**
- At least 2 cycles or 3-4 years of experience working within a paid media planning and buying team. Experience on a campaign or with a political organization, focused on persuasion and mobilization oriented paid media programs is preferred.
- Experience building and executing media plans for digital advertising programs that cover a range of objectives, platforms, targeting strategies, and approaches.
- Knowledge and experience working in key self-serve advertising platforms (Facebook, Google Ads, Snapchat, etc.) and at least 1 DSP (The Trade Desk, DV360, etc.) Experience working with ad serving technology like CM360 is a plus.
- Experience building ad performance reports for clients or other stakeholders. Must have proficiency in Excel and Google sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational/project management skills; ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously. 
- A detailed and curious understanding of the media landscape, including the desire to stay up to date on changes to policies both in the broader media space and political space – especially as it relates to our media plans. 
- Ability to work collaboratively with others who might not always agree - you will be working cross functionally with several other members of the Priorities team with different experiences and perspectives and will need to communicate clearly and effectively to be successful. 
- Strong problem solving skills and interpersonal skills; ability to respond to crises calmly and with poise.

**Compensation and Benefits**
The salary range for this position is $90,000-$100,000 commensurate with experience.
