Job Description

**Background:** Yes on 4 is a statewide campaign of allied organizations and
concerned citizens working together to protect Floridians’ access to reproductive
health care and defend the right to bodily autonomy.
This campaign is focused on winning Amendment 4, the campaign to remove
politicians from private medical decisions around abortion. From March to November
2024, the campaign will focus on raising money, earning media, mobilizing voters,
building coalitions, and securing 60%+ support at the polls.
Candidates should have successful experience leading fundraising efforts for
statewide issue advocacy, elections, or ballot campaigns.
The National Events Manager reports to the Finance Director of the Yes on 4
campaign.
Job Description:
The National Events Manager for Yes on 4 is responsible for helping the effort to
resource the multi-million dollar campaign through overseeing all fundraising events
\- both in-person and virtual - outside of the state of Florida. The National Events
Manager will report to the Finance Director and also work closely with the full
finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
● Coordinate, plan and execute 2-3 fundraising events per month outside of
Florida in major metropolitan areas across the United States. These events will
range from small house parties, to intimate, high-dollar dinner parties
depending on host, budget, venue, etc.
● Develop and maintain event management systems, ensuring accuracy,
timeliness, and confidentiality;
● Prospect and solicit individual donors outside of Florida to attend and
contribute to events;
● Identify, secure, and coordinate with event hosts and host committees;
● Identify, secure, and coordinate with all necessary vendors including venues;
● Manage event invitations and RSVPs from start to finish in coordination with
the fundraising team;
● Provide day of event coverage;
● Coordinate post-event follow ups, solicitations and thanks;
● Manage the campaign’s budget for fundraising events;
● Work collaboratively with campaign staff and the Finance Committee to
ensure appropriate leveraging of event volunteers, attendees and donor
relationships;
● Share information across the finance team to coordinate solicitations and
ensure donors aren’t receiving duplicate asks for the campaign;
● Maintain positive relationships with donors, providing excellent donor
relations and stewardship;
● Monitor fundraising event trends and behaviors and provide strategic
recommendations for donor cultivation and engagement; and
● Other tasks as assigned by the Finance Director.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Affairs, Business Administration,
or a related field / or equivalent experience.
● Minimum of 3 years of experience coordinating fundraising events for political
campaigns or non-profit organizations with proven track record of success.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build
relationships and communicate effectively with donors, supporters, and staff
at all levels.
● Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to
multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
● Familiarity with fundraising software and tools, including ActBlue, donor
databases, email marketing platforms, and event management software,
including Every Action is a plus.
● Strong understanding of reproductive rights and familiarity with the
Reproductive Justice movement is highly preferred.
● Previous campaign finance experience is a plus.
● Knowledge of the national, progressive political landscape, reproductive rights
ballot initiative landscape and experience working on ballot campaigns is an
asset.

**Additional Requirements**:

● This is a remote position with travel. Applicants do not have to live in Florida.
● Frequent travel will likely be required to cities such as New York, Washington D.C., San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and more.
● Must be able to work on nights and weekends as needed.
● Must be able to hold this position through November 30th, 2024.
