JOB DESCRIPTION

About Blueprint

Blueprint is a full-service digital agency that provides top-shelf digital strategy, advertising, fundraising, social media and web development for a variety of political campaigns, non-profits, and other organizations. We’re an energetic and dedicated team who have been churning out top-notch projects fighting for political candidates and progressive causes like reproductive rights, racial justice, the environment, and much, much more. At Blueprint we believe that diversity benefits our clients and fuels our relentless focus on winning our campaigns.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Operations Associate to serve as the right hand to our Operations Director for the 2026 election cycle. You will be responsible for coordinating HR functions, process documentation, and assisting with client invoicing and contracts. While the core of this role is rooted in administrative support, we are looking for a candidate who can also serve as a thought partner to the Operations Director. From developing and implementing firm-wide initiatives to helping untangle one-off logistical puzzles, you’ll be an integral part of what makes Blueprint work.

This is an ideal role for someone who can move easily between day-to-day rapid-response problem-solving and big-picture firm-wide projects, and who is interested in gaining a comprehensive understanding of what makes a political consulting firm successful.

This is a cycle role that runs through November 30th, 2026. We have a hybrid schedule with an optional 2 days per week in our sunny Dupont Circle office. While much of this role can be done remotely, there are occasional in-person days required, so applicants must be based in the DMV area.

As a part of our team you would

  • Facilitate and manage core HR functions, including the end-to-end recruitment pipeline, drafting job descriptions, and coordinating interview logistics.

  • Serve as a point of contact for staff operational needs, troubleshooting immediate issues, including but not limited to: managing leave requests, updating employee records, assisting with tech issues, and answering questions about operational processes.

  • Conduct and compile research to ensure our firm remains a competitive employer.

  • Support invoice and contract tracking, processing, and documentation.

  • Coordinate workplace culture initiatives and internal events to maintain high morale and a cohesive team environment.

  • Collaborate with the Operations Director to brainstorm and pressure-test new operational strategies to improve firm-wide performance.

You would be a great fit if you have

  • 1–3 years in operations, project management, or HR, preferably within a political or fast-paced professional services environment.

  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to handle sensitive personnel and financial information with absolute confidentiality.

  • An interest in learning new things. The digital world is constantly changing so we frequently test new strategies and tactics to stay ahead of the curve.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • A knack for creative problem solving and an ability to be adaptable.

  • Superior organizational skills.

  • A passion for electing Democratic candidates and advancing progressive causes.

  • The ability to incorporate constructive criticism.

  • Superior attention to detail and time management skills.

Compensation

The base salary band for this position is $55,000 – $65,000 per year, based on experience. To counter pay inequality and uphold internal parity, salaries are non-negotiable.

  • Employer-matched 401(k), no vesting schedule.

  • 100% company-paid premiums for employees’ health, dental, and vision plans.

  • 100% company-paid premiums for life and disability insurance.

  • 15 days PTO per year and 5 days of sick leave, plus company-designated holidays.

  • Work from home monthly stipend.

  • Regular team events.
