Project Overview:
RepresentUs is looking for an experienced Research Contractor with a track record in political and campaign finance research to remotely support Phase 1 of a multi-year project to pass non-partisan redistricting through ballot measures or legislative action in time for the next round of redistricting. Phase 1 is predominantly a scoping effort to identify target states for anti-gerrymandering efforts based on impact, viability, risk and resiliency, financial cost, in-state partnerships, and infrastructure.
Project Goals:
Identify influential organizations and individuals–ideally 3-5–and schedule calls to make initial contacts in target states.
Examine campaign finance data to identify individuals and organizations to contact and also to estimate potential initiative costs based on the cost of prior campaigns.

Identify and interpret polling and demographic data to assess initiative viability.
Assist with finalizing a list of target states.
Periodic check-ins with political team members, contributing to the generation of a final project report.

The Research Contractor is responsible for conducting and compiling research, identifying potential in-state partners and initiating contact, and assessing possible campaign costs.
