Field Manager (2024 Cycle)

We do this by building coalitions with leaders and organizations across Texas and the country, building a talent pipeline with leadership development, and advocating for issues that can bring meaningful change to Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities.

Job Type: Part-Time, 30 hours per week, MUST be available to work on Weekends
Reports to: Civic Engagement Manager
ATJ will provide PPE and substantial health and safety training. This role will require working outside and following the canvassing protocols that will allow us to keep ourselves and everyone else in our communities safe.
Duties & Responsibilities: The Field Manager will:
Manage a team of 30 canvassers in your assigned region.
Lead door-to-door canvassing shifts (Saturday & Sunday)
Ensure canvassers are entering data accurately and in a timely manner
Help recruit canvassers in your assigned region
Hold the canvassing team accountable for hitting assigned goals and metrics
Provide ongoing motivation and support to canvassers
Establish and maintain relationships with the local AAPI community
Submit MiniVan data and daily reports in a timely manner
Requirements:
At least 1 prior cycle of field management or paid canvasser management
Ability to work on weekends (Sat & Sun)
A valid driver’s license and reliable motor vehicle
Must have access to a cell phone, and a laptop or computer with reliable internet access
Experience working with MiniVAN
Strong oral and written communication and time management skills
Attention to detail
Deeply passionate about equity and social justice, particularly for AAPIs and other marginalized groups
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Bi-lingual or Multi-lingual
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Enthusiasm for building meaningful relationships in the communities we’re canvassing
Goals-oriented and self-disciplined; able to meet tight deadlines and multitask
Experience leading a team to hit goals consistently
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing work environment
Compensation:$45 per hour ($1,350/wk)
