If you’re an experienced paid digital media strategist for political campaigns or brands, our **Associate Director of Media **role offers you a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic media team and shape strategy for clients at one of the industry’s premier firms.
As the Associate Director of Media, you’ll manage and train a team of media planners and associates, develop paid media strategy, craft custom plans, and execute those plans for clients ranging from national political organizations to statewide campaigns.
As a member of our media team, you will:
Produce and execute media plans that achieve goals of Rising Tide Interactive’s clients, including political candidates, ballot initiatives, campaign committees, advocacy organizations and nonprofits
Collaborate with our Client Strategy teams to craft recommendations and improve performance on client campaigns
Develop relationships with vendors, evaluate new products, and educate staff on advertising technology
Oversee media buying, including reaching out to vendors for inventory availability, requesting insertion orders, monitoring pacing
Become a leader on the team who directly manages Media Planners and Associate Media Planners
Assist with business development and crafting internal team policies, procedures, and workflow
Work closely with Media leadership on team professional development and special projects
We’re looking for:
3-5 years (or 2-3+ election cycles) of experience in digital media planning and buying
Experience in advertising platforms including a DSP, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, DCM, etc.
Comfortable presenting complex media plans to internal and external stakeholders
Someone who is excited to work for our Democratic and progressive clients, ideally with experience at a campaign, agency, or political organization
Relevant details:
Salary band: $90,000 - $100,000

This is a full-time, exempt position and evening and weekend work can be expected at key points during the election cycle. This position is not included in our bargaining unit.
This position is based in our office in Washington, DC. This position will work a hybrid schedule, with two days a week in the office and three days remotely. All RTI employees are expected to be up-to-date on all COVID vaccinations and boosters.
