Who We Are

Trilogy Interactive is a full-service digital agency. For over a decade, we have stood at the forefront of the digital revolution in the Democratic political and nonprofit space. We’re reshaping what’s possible in the world of politics through our award-winning programs for campaigns, nonprofits, and organizations. We’re a dynamic, diverse team — and now, we want you to join us!

We are looking for an Associate Director, Paid Media to join our team through the 2026 election cycle. If you possess political curiosity and technical excellence, you’re highly organized, you have a few cycles under your belt building media plans, and you’re ready to use your skills to make a positive impact on your community and your country in an exciting, team-focused environment, please apply today.

We’re looking for someone who is AI-curious but results-obsessed. If you know how to move past the hype and actually integrate AI into real-world media workflows to make them faster and smarter, let’s chat.

Role Details

This position is ideal for candidates who have hands-on digital media buying experience, enjoy collaborating cross-functionally with internal creative and strategy teams, and can communicate clearly with clients and colleagues to deliver results and value.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize digital media campaigns across Meta, Google, The Trade Desk, StackAdapt, and other programmatic platforms, including vendor coordination, trafficking, billing, and reconciliation.

  • Monitor campaign performance, pacing, and budgets in real time, making data-driven adjustments as needed to ensure campaigns meet or exceed objectives.

  • Collaborate with internal creative and strategy teams to align media campaigns with client goals.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients (and internal client teams), providing insights, getting approvals over the finish line, sharing updates, and troubleshooting for solutions. Communication is key here.

  • Oversee the financial operations process to ensure accurate billing and spend management for all client accounts.

  • Utilize programmatic media buying tools and analytics platforms to maximize campaign performance.

  • Maintain accurate campaign documentation, reports, and client-facing materials.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of experience in media buying and digital advertising programs (working on IEs, campaigns, or consulting)

  • Strong familiarity with programmatic media buying tools

  • Proficiency in analytics, spreadsheets, and ad tracking tools

  • Some prior management or supervisory experience

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Availability to work evenings and weekends, as needed

Although political experience is not a necessity to qualify for this position, you should at least be intrigued by progressive candidates, causes, and organizations. Our highly experienced team will be available to provide guidance, but a personal interest in Democratic politics will help you immensely.

Location

The ideal candidate will reside in either the Berkeley, CA (Bay Area) or Washington, D.C. and come into the respective Trilogy office on a hybrid schedule of Tuesdays and Thursdays.
