JOB DESCRIPTION

ER nurse, community organizer, and Democratic candidate Molly Cook seeks a Call Time Manager for a state senate primary runoff campaign in the Houston area. Applicants for the position should be curious and motivated with the ability to self-start. The Call Time Manager will be responsible for preparing, staffing, and managing all of the candidate’s call time and completing various research and fundraising tasks as needed. The position runs through June 15, 2024, and must be completed in person in Houston, TX. 

 

 

Job Description 

The Call Time Manager will take on the following responsibilities: 

 

Call Time: 

  • Staff all of the candidate’s call time, including taking notes, sending follow-up communications, tracking pledges, and recording data.

  • Assist the finance director in call time analysis and planning.

  • Draft major donor-facing communications, such as emails and texts.

Research:

  • Conduct donor research and prepare call time lists. 

  • Draft responses to endorsement questionnaires.

  • Complete various research and fundraising tasks as needed. 

Events:

  • Support the finance director in identifying potential event hosts and preparing invitation materials.

  • Staff fundraising events as needed. 

Other:

  • Send thank-you emails to major donors.

  • Support the finance director with miscellaneous campaign fundraising tasks as needed. 

 

 

Required Qualifications

- 1 or more cycles of campaign fundraising experience

- Experience using Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel

- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

- Strong attention to detail and ability to self-start

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Commitment to progressive values inside the workplace and out

- Residence in or willingness to relocate to Houston, Texas for the duration of the campaign

 

 

“Nice to Have” Qualifications

- Experience staffing candidate call time 

- Experience using ActBlue, NGP, Canva, Numero, PhoneBurner, Calltime.ai, fec.gov, or TargetSmart

- Experience working for Democratic campaigns in Texas
