A competitive, progressive candidate for New York State Assembly from Brooklyn, NY is recruiting a ** part time or full time Campaign Fellow** to join the fight for a New York that is centered on building a stronger, safer, and healthier New York for all, and especially for families, children, working class residents, immigrants, and marginalized communities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Assisting with voter outreach, including canvassing, phone banking, and fundraising.
● Help manage campaign data, volunteers, and field efforts.
● Assisting with filming, and editing video and photo content for social media and ads.
● Research policy priorities, voter demographics, and local issues.
● Support communications by helping draft campaign materials, press releases and statements.
● Provide operational support, including scheduling and events.
Qualifications:
● Ability to commit at least 10 hours per week to the fellowship.
● Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate from, an undergraduate or graduate program, preferably in political science, communications, or a related field.
● Excellent organizational skills and the ability to make sure that short term and long term priorities get completed.
● Interest in grassroots political campaigns.
● Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
● Fluency in Arabic, Russian, Spanish, and/or a Chinese dialect is a plus
Desired start date is immediate, but can be flexible for the right candidate. Position will require a mix of remote and in-person work in New York City.
