The race for Manhattan Borough President is heating up and this fiercely competitive primary is sure to gain a lot of attention. Keith Powers’ is running to represent the diverse and vibrant borough of Manhattan on a platform that will make Manhattan better for everyone. That is why we are proud to announce the launch of our fellowship program. Keith’s campaign for Manhattan Borough President believes it is critical to uplift the voices of young people in politics, especially today.
This program is dedicated to giving young people a voice in political campaigns by directly reaching out to voters from Inwood to Battery Park City while giving you a front-row seat to this intense political battle. The program runs from today until Election Day, June 24th. We are accepting applications daily and interviewing students across the city to provide opportunities for participation in organizing efforts. All students between the ages of 15 and 22 are welcome to apply. Living in Manhattan or NYC is not required.
What does a fellow do?
Fellows will engage in petitioning, canvassing, phone banking, and visibility efforts to reach out to voters in the district, communicate, and advocate for Keith’s platform, issues, and policies.
Specialty projects are available for fellows with skills in: Graphic design and social media, communications, public speaking, finance, organizing, community outreach, youth outreach, high school and college recruitment and more.
