Position Title: Campaign Field Organizer
Reports to: Organizing Director

About the Campaign:
Chris Deluzio for Congress is hiring a Campaign Field Organizer. Congressman Deluzio is a DCCC Frontline Member in a must-win seat in a key region of the country for Democrats up and down the ballot. The Campaign Field Organizer will play an important role in building up the volunteer capacity necessary to ensure the Congressman’s re-election.
Position Summary:
The Campaign Field Organizer will support the Organizing Director in executing the field plan, mobilizing volunteers, and engaging with voters to ensure a strong voter turnout on Election Day. This position involves volunteer recruitment and voter engagement and will be crucial in the grassroots efforts of the Chris Deluzio for Congress campaign.
Key Responsibilities:
Volunteer Recruitment and Management:
Recruit, train, and manage teams of volunteers to meet voter contact and capacity-building goals.
Identify and develop volunteer leaders to organize constituency and issue-based events, canvasses, phone banks, and other events designed to persuade voters and engage volunteers.
Build volunteer teams to fill critical leadership roles to expand our reach across the District.
Community Engagement:
Manage relationships with community leaders, allied organizations, political stakeholders, and local Democratic activists.
Represent the campaign at community events and meetings to promote Chris Deluzio’s message and platform.
Voter Outreach:
Contact voters to win their support and vote for Chris Deluzio and Democrats up and down the ballot.
Implement voter contact strategies to identify and mobilize supporters.
Conduct door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, text banking, and other campaign activities to engage with voters.
Event Coordination:
Assist in planning and executing campaign events, including town halls, rallies, and community meetings.
Ensure all events run smoothly and effectively engage participants, while setting expectations and ensuring that each participant has a good experience with the campaign.
Data Management:
Track and report on organizing metrics, such as volunteer recruitment numbers, voter contacts, and event attendance.
Ensure data is accurately entered into the campaign’s database in a timely manner.
Support Organizing Director:
Assist the Organizing Director with day-to-day operations and strategic planning.
Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the campaign’s goals.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in political campaigns, community organizing, or related fields preferred.
Experience in volunteer management and event coordination.
Skills:
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with campaign software (e.g., VAN, NGP) is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Requirements:
Must have a laptop and cell phone.
A valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
Willingness to learn campaign technology, including Google Sheets and Votebuilder.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing work environment.
Ability to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
Previous campaign experience or experience working with volunteers is preferred but not required.
Salary: $4,000 - $5,000 per month, based on experience
