Internship Overview:

Drew Warshaw for New York is seeking Campaign Interns to support a range of campaign operations, including finance, policy, administrative, and digital work. ** This internship is unpaid. Interns are expected to commit approximately 8 hours per week. **

 

The internship runs through June 23, 2025, with the potential to continue beyond that date depending on the outcome of the June primary.

 

Areas of Support May Include:

 

Administrative

  • Support campaign organizational systems and team operations

  • Assist with data entry and list-building projects, as assigned

 

Comms

  • Monitor news coverage and track press mentions of the campaign, candidate, and relevant policy issues

  • Build and maintain media lists, including journalists, editorial boards, and reporters

  • Support press outreach, including drafting pitch emails, assembling press contact lists, and coordinating follow-ups

  • Support preparation of briefing materials ahead of candidate appearances or interviews

 

Policy

  • Conduct research on relevant policy issues and draft memos for the campaign team

  • Translate complex policy information into accessible campaign messaging

 

Digital & Social Media (as applicable)

  • Support social strategy and content creation, including pulling clips, curating creator lists, and assisting with graphics or video edits

  • Content production and filming on-site filming support (in-person interns only)

 

Campaign staff will work closely with interns to ensure assignments align with both intern strengths/goals and campaign priorities.

 

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will be team players who are detail-oriented with strong communication and research skills. We’re looking for reliable, organized, and self motivated candidates who can manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
