A Democratic candidate for Austin City Council is seeking a skilled Campaign Manager to lead day-to-day operations and guide overall campaign strategy. The ideal candidate is a strong organizer and communicator with experience running or supporting competitive campaigns.
Responsibilities
Build and manage campaign strategy across field, communications, scheduling, and fundraising.
Oversee daily operations and ensure departments meet goals and deadlines.
Manage staff and coordinate with consultants, volunteers, and vendors.
Support the candidate’s schedule, events, and community outreach.
Work with the Field Director to run voter contact and track data.
Assist with messaging, materials, and basic press/social media tasks.
Help the fundraising team meet goals and maintain compliance.
Build relationships with local groups, Democratic clubs, and community leaders.
Qualifications
At least 2 cycles of campaign organizing or management experience.
Strong leadership, communication, and project-management skills.
Familiarity with Austin’s political landscape.
Experience engaging diverse communities and voter groups.
Proficiency with VAN/MiniVAN, Google Workspace, and mobilization tools.
Ability to stay organized under pressure and work evenings/weekends as needed.
