Job Title: Campaign Manager
Committee: Joseph Solomon, Jr. for Rhode Island Attorney General
Location: Rhode Island
Cycle: 2026 Democratic Primary for Attorney General
A Rhode Island Democrat running for Attorney General is hiring a Campaign Manager to help build and run the campaign through the September 2026 primary. This is a ground-floor opportunity to play a central role in a competitive statewide race. We’re looking for someone with at least one cycle of campaign experience who is ready to take the next step and grow into a leadership role. All who are interested should submit a resume and two relevant writing samples at the link below.
We’re building a team for a competitive four-way Democratic primary for Attorney General, and the Campaign Manager will be at the center of it. This person will serve as the campaign’s day-to-day operational lead — running the fundraising program, managing the candidate’s schedule, coordinating with consultants, and keeping the campaign organized and on track.
The right candidate is someone who has worked on a campaign before — maybe in field, finance, or operations — and is ready to own more responsibility. You’ll work directly with the candidate and senior advisors in a collaborative, supportive environment where your ideas and initiative will matter. If you’ve been looking for the chance to step up and run things, this is it.
Partner with the candidate and senior consultants to build and execute the campaign finance plan
Plan, staff, and manage daily candidate call time
Prepare call sheets, donor briefing materials, and follow-up tracking
Provide detailed weekly fundraising reports and progress-to-goal tracking to the candidate and team
Build and maintain the campaign’s donor database and contact management systems
Develop a prospecting plan to grow the donor universe and bring creative ideas to expand the campaign’s fundraising network
Coordinate fundraising events from planning through execution, including invitations, venue logistics, and day-of staffing
Serve as the day-to-day operational lead, keeping the campaign organized and on schedule
Manage the candidate’s political calendar — public events, endorsement meetings, forums, community appearances, and constituent outreach
Coordinate with senior consultants on strategy, messaging, and paid communications
Build and maintain relationships with elected officials, labor leaders, community organizations, and other key stakeholders
Help recruit, organize, and support campaign volunteers and any additional staff
Travel with and staff the candidate at events across Rhode Island
Other duties as assigned
A self starter with at least one cycle of campaign experience (field, finance, operations, or similar — we care more about what you learned than what your title was)
Demonstrated experience with campaign fundraising or finance operations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfort on the phone and a genuine ability to build relationships with people
Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and keep the trains running
Fluency with Google Workspace
Experience with a political CRM or donor database (a plus, but we’ll train the right person)
Social media experience and comfort creating content across platforms (a plus)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as the campaign requires
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. This is a full-time position based in Rhode Island, with statewide travel required. The position runs through the September 2026 primary and will require work on evenings and weekends.
