Campaign Manager - City Council Campaign
A Queens City Council campaign is seeking a talented, passionate full-time Campaign Manager for the 2025 City Council Democratic Primary campaign.
Campaign Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation of the campaigns, including but not limited to:
Supervising the staff, fellows/interns, and volunteers
Tracking and organizing candidate schedules
Developing and implementing a comprehensive political and voter contact strategy
Building a coalition of supportive political stakeholders
Coordinating with consultants, vendors, cabinet, and community leaders
Overseeing budget & finance such as meeting fundraising goals and tracking expenditures
The Campaign Manager will report to the candidate for day to day tasks.
The Campaign Manager will receive guidance from the Senior Consultants on tasks that the Senior Consultants are responsible for, such as setting the strategic direction of the campaign, messaging, budget, media ads, hiring field firms and other consultants, and other high level tasks.
The Campaign Manager will directly supervise any full time staff who are hired, such as a Field Director/Organizer, and interns.
Qualifications:
Minimum of at least 1-2 years of electoral or advocacy campaign experience
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to make sure that short term and long term priorities get completed
A proactive approach in identifying organizational gaps and executing a plan to fill them
Ability to work a standard campaign schedule, which includes evenings and weekends
A team player mentality, as well as the ability to self-direct and work independently
Ability to manage people and work laterally alongside an experienced consultant team
Experience organizing field operations is a plus
Familiarity with VAN and other organizational/voter contact tools is a plus
Fluency in Spanish and/or other languages is a plus
The campaign manager will be full time through June 2025 and the role offers competitive compensation. Desired start dates range from early December to mid-January, but can be flexible for the right candidate. Position will require a mix of remote and in-person work in New York City.
Compensation:
Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience, ranging from $5,000 - $6000 per month
