We are hiring a Campaign Manager to run Phil Mendelson's re-election for DC Council Chair. This is a district-wide race during a really exciting election year in DC. It's a great race to get into if you want exposure to the mayor, attorney general, delegate, and council races. We are looking to hire and start someone as soon as possible.
Position Summary
The Campaign Manager will oversee all aspects of Chairman Phil Mendelson’s 2026 re-election campaign. The manager will be responsible for developing and executing the overall campaign strategy, managing staff and consultants, coordinating fundraising and communications operations, and ensuring the campaign meets its political, financial, and organizational goals. The Campaign Manager will serve as the senior strategist and day-to-day leader of the campaign.
While this is a citywide race, please remember that DC does not have a state legislature. This race decides the head of the legislative branch in DC.
Qualifications
- 1-3+ cycles of political campaign experience, ideally with some management experience
- Some understanding of Washington, DC, politics and local policy issues
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work long hours in a fast-paced political environment. There will be events and candidate meetings outside of regular work hours
Compensation
$4,000 - $6,000 per month commensurate with experience.
Location
