JOB DESCRIPTION

Melissa Seale for New York State Senate is hiring a ** Campaign Manager** to serve as the team’s senior staff leader and implement the campaign’s plan to flip NY Senate District 45 (SD-45). Working closely with Melissa Seale, you will turn strategy into execution and keep the campaign on pace for victory.

 

The ideal candidate brings the experience, energy, and judgment to:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive campaign plan, including voter targeting strategy, messaging framework, timeline, and resource allocation across all campaign departments.

  • Lead day-to-day campaign operations, coordinating all teams to ensure alignment and to meet campaign goals.

  • Work with Melissa to maximize the impact of her time and schedule.

  • Partner with local leaders, labor unions, and community organizations to build a district-wide grassroots program.

  • Oversee campaign budget management and work with the compliance team to ensure timely, accurate public campaign finance reporting and adherence to all campaign finance regulations.

  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers.

 

Qualifications

  • At least one full campaign cycle.

  • Experience in rural/suburban districts, NY politics or SD-45, and competitive races preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and grow teams in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

  • Experience with campaign management tools and voter file management.

  • Strong understanding of field, fundraising, communications, and digital operations.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work long hours, including nights and weekends, with ability to travel throughout SD-45.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to relocate ASAP to SD-45.
