JOB DESCRIPTION

Candidate for San Francisco District Attorney seeks highly-motivated, experienced campaign manager with a passion for organizing, track record of achieving results and commitment to creating lasting public safety through better evidence-based policy. This role will be responsible for executing ambitious field and fundraising plans ahead of the general election in 2024. Looking to work hard, be part of a strong team and get our city back on track? This position is ideal for those with experience as campaign managers, field directors or organizers, finance directors, other campaign positions, or the equivalent, who can leverage past experience to demonstrate their capacity to manage a competitive, bootstrapped local campaign.

 

The Day-to-Day:

  • Work closely with the candidate and general consultants to execute on campaign strategy - including field, finance, coalition-building and day-to-day operations.

  • Manage the candidate’s schedule, help them achieve call time fundraising goals.

  • Diligently monitor and document progress toward campaign goals, including volunteer engagement and fundraising. Track campaign plans and budget.

  • Plan campaign events including fundraisers, house parties and volunteer canvasses, alongside supervols, endorsers and other staff.

  • Securing key endorsements and managing an engagement strategy for supporters with clear metrics and outcomes.

  • Take ownership of the campaign’s success, look for opportunities to go the extra mile to ensure victory on Election Day.

 

Your Experience: 

  • The successful candidate will have significant political campaign & organizing experience, familiarity with San Francisco issues and political landscape and a commitment to improving the lives of San Franciscans.

  • Highly organized, punctual and attentive to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage others, work independently and motivate yourself and others.

  • High standards of integrity, maturity and discretion. 

  • Self-motivated leader who can work independently and is energized by a mission-focused work environment.

  • Access to a laptop, phone, and car (with valid driver’s license).

  • Currently located in California’s Bay Area.

  • Ability to work irregular hours and weekends.

  • Must be able to commit through the 2024 election.

  • Conversational fluency in multiple languages is a plus. Familiarity with compliance and local and state election rules is desired but training on these topics will also be provided. Experience with NGP VAN, PDI, ActBlue, Thru Talk/Text, predictive dialers and other back-end campaign software is recommended. 

 

Compensation:

  • Monthly compensation starts at $6,000/month, increasing with experience.
