JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and proactive Campaign Manager for a Democratic candidate running for the New Jersey General Assembly. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Jersey City. The Campaign Manager will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the campaign, managing the candidate’s schedule, organizing field operations, and driving political outreach efforts. The ideal candidate will have prior campaign experience, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Candidate's Schedule: Coordinate all aspects of the candidate’s calendar, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling of events, meetings, fundraisers, and speaking engagements.

  • Organize Field Operations: Develop and execute a field strategy to mobilize voters, including organizing volunteer teams, canvassing efforts, and get-out-the-vote initiatives.

  • Political Outreach: Manage relationships with key political stakeholders, including local party leaders, activists, and organizations. Coordinate with media, surrogates, and other partners to amplify the campaign message.

  • Collaborate with Consultant Team: Work closely with the campaign's consultants and advisors (including communications, digital, and fundraising teams) to ensure all aspects of the campaign align and support a successful election strategy.

  • Campaign Operations: Help manage day-to-day campaign operations, staff coordination, and volunteer management. Ensure all campaign activities are efficiently executed.

Qualifications:

  • At least one full cycle of campaign experience is required.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

  • Must have a reliable car, smartphone, and computer for campaign-related activities.

  • Comfortable working long hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the demands of the campaign.

  • Proven ability to manage a team of volunteers and staff, including recruitment, training, and motivation.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
