Senate District 55 is a purple district that flipped blue in 2020, when Democrat Samra Brouk won the seat by a margin of 12 points. In 2022, Senator Brouk once again kept this seat with a margin of 14 points. This year, we once again have a competitive general election against a Republican opponent. The 55th Senate District of New York spans urban, suburban, and rural parts of Western New York and includes parts of the City of Rochester and the suburbs of Monroe County.
Senator Brouk’s re-election campaign is seeking a full-time Campaign Manager to be responsible for leading and managing the day to day operations of the campaign from July 1, 2024 through November 30, 2024. The position is based in Rochester, NY. We are open to a remote start.
Responsibilities include:
Draft and implement a comprehensive campaign plan with an emphasis on messaging, fundraising and voter engagement/mobilization. (CM)
Lead candidate, consultants, staff, and volunteers to achieve campaign’s strategic priorities
Set and manage priorities for candidate time and activities. (CM)
Manage the campaign’s budget and cash flow (CM)
Oversee implementation of core campaign strategies and tactics, the campaign plan including drafting/approving messaging and communications, direct mail, digital or TV advertising, campaign events, and comprehensive field operation. (CM)
Serve as the liaison for the campaign to the New York Senate Democratic Committee (DSCC) (CM)
Build relationships with local community leaders, grasstops and grassroots individuals, members of the press, and potential endorsers (CM)

The salary for this position is between $6,000-8,000/month commensurate with experience. The position is based in Rochester, NY but there is flexibility to begin work remotely.
