Campaign Operations & Management
Oversee day-to-day campaign operations to ensure all moving parts are on track.
Manage candidate scheduling, including political meetings, call time, and public events.
Lead weekly all-staff and team meetings; drive follow-up on action items and campaign priorities.
Keep the campaign on schedule by tracking deadlines, deliverables, and priorities across departments.
Political Strategy & Endorsements
Coordinate the Democratic Party endorsement process, including managing delegate outreach, club endorsement questionnaires, and appearances.
Oversee endorsement outreach and tracking for labor unions, elected officials, and organizations.
Work with the candidate and consultant to ensure timely follow-up and strategic use of endorsements.
Team Supervision & Staff Management
Supervise the social media coordinator, volunteer coordinator, and field organizers; provide guidance, structure, and accountability.
Coordinate with the field team to ensure grassroots organizing aligns with overall campaign goals.
Support hiring and onboarding of new staff as needed.
Communications & Media
Work with the general consultant to develop and execute messaging, talking points, and press strategies.
Coordinate with the consultant on direct mail and digital communication approval processes.
Manage planning and logistics for candidate photoshoots and videoshoots.
Manage the email communication calendar and content approval process in alignment with campaign messaging.
Proofread all messaging materials for accuracy, tone, and consistency.
Political Outreach & Stakeholder Engagement
Draft, track, and manage endorsement questionnaires and meetings with key clubs and advocacy organizations.
Represent the campaign in meetings with political stakeholders and coalitions when the candidate is unavailable.
Serve as a liaison to the general consultant for political outreach and comms-related approvals.
Events & Scheduling
Oversee logistics for campaign events, town halls, community meet-and-greets, and fundraisers.
Staff the candidate at public events, ensuring briefing materials and logistics are in place.
2+ cycles of campaign experience; experience as a campaign manager, deputy campaign manager, or political director preferred.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
Deep familiarity with Democratic campaign infrastructure, local clubs, labor, and stakeholder groups.
Experience managing political endorsement processes and working closely with consultants and vendors.
Comfortable leading a team and working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Spanish language fluency is a plus but not required.
Preferred: Familiarity with and a strong understanding of California State Senate District 26.
