**One Sentence Purpose: **The campaign manager is responsible for executing Sunrise’s strategy around our electoral program, holding internal campaign coordination in our tier 1 and 2 states, running our PAC fundraising project, and running a cross-departmental team to execute a successful campaign in 2024 that builds our movement and makes climate a top issue across key swing states.
Responsibilities
Project Management and Strategic Leadership - 50%
Project manages the electoral team to meet goals for voter contact, volunteer program, comms, and political
Runs a successful election campaign that demonstrates a powerful message about the youth vote and the climate crisis
Ensures that our civic engagement work follows operational and compliance guidelines
Gives strategic input on Sunrise’s overall General Election Strategy
Is a member of Sunrise’s Electoral team, campaign team, and comms team
Fundraising - 30%
Supporting org leadership with C3/C4 and PAC large dollar Fundraising from donor groups and large dollar funders
Manages the PAC fundraising strategy and budgets
Management - 20%
Manages the Distributed Manager to oversee all voter contact campaign work
Qualifications
Must Haves
At least 3 years doing advocacy campaigns
Has directed at least 2 campaigns (at least one being electoral)
Nice To Haves
Experience with VAN, voter file, mobilize, election data
Experience working on climate change
