About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, personable, and highly reliable Campaign Operations & Field Associate to support a fast-paced congressional campaign. This is an in-person, onsite role ideal for someone who thrives on relationship-building, follow-through, and being the connective tissue of a campaign.
This position is perfect for someone eager to gain hands-on political experience. No prior campaign software experience required, training will be provided, but strong initiative, organization, and people skills are essential.
This position will work closely with the candidate and will spend significant time alongside them during events, meetings, and day-to-day campaign activities, offering a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience inside a congressional campaign.
Key Responsibilities
Mobilize volunteers through calls, texts, and direct follow-up
Support candidate logistics, including driving the candidate’s car as needed (must have a personal vehicle and valid license)
Help staff and support campaign events, meet-and-greets, and house parties
Conduct consistent follow-up with supporters, volunteers, and community contacts
Assist with basic campaign operations and data entry (NGP training provided)
Serve as an on-the-ground point of contact for day-to-day campaign needs
Support networking efforts and relationship-building across the district

What We Offer
Monthly stipend of $2,000–$3,000 depending on experience

Requirements
Must be able to work ** in person, onsite** on a daily basis
Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle with current insurance
Comfortable driving the candidate’s vehicle as needed
Access to a smartphone capable of calls, texts, and basic campaign apps
Access to a personal laptop or computer for daily work tasks
Strong communication skills, comfortable talking with volunteers, supporters, and community members
Reliable, responsive, and punctual, with the ability to manage follow-up independently
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as campaign needs require
Previous campaign, organizing, or community engagement experience
Familiarity with basic tech tools (Google Drive, spreadsheets, texting platforms, etc.)
Experience coordinating volunteers or events
Strong local knowledge or connections in Southern Indiana
