The Wisconsin State Senate Democratic Caucus (SSDC) is the progressive political organization that supports the election and re-election of Democrats in the Wisconsin State Senate. The SSDC is the political arm of the Wisconsin Senate Democrats. It is overseen by Democratic Minority Leader Dianne Hesselbein for the 2024 cycle.

Campaigns Director overview:
The Wisconsin State Senate Democratic Committee (SSDC) is seeking a Campaigns Director for the upcoming 2024 cycle to help the SSDC take back the Wisconsin Senate! The Campaigns Director will be responsible for ensuring district-level campaign managers have the support needed to run winning races across Wisconsin. We are looking for someone with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, who is quick to solve problems, and strategic in the way they manage. This person should have prior experience managing at least one team of people, campaigns and candidates.
Campaigns Director responsibilities:
Manage Campaign Managers who are working in targeted Senate races across the state. Be the primary point of contact and manager for all SSDC Campaign Managers.
Work across the different departments within the SSDC to ensure that the needs of campaigns/Campaign Managers are being handled in a timely and efficient manner.
Work with Campaign Managers to ensure that they are meeting the needs of each candidate and the caucus.
Collaborate closely with the Executive Director and the SSDC Finance department to ensure that every targeted campaign has an accurate budget and finance plan that’s updated on a regular and predictable cadence.
Create and implement systems for tracking campaign metrics to be used by Campaign Managers and draft weekly reports on progress for the SSDC Executive Director and Leadership.
Work with SSDC Leadership around critical deadlines that Senate campaigns will face throughout the cycle (ballot qualification process, campaign finance reports, etc).
Additional responsibilities as required to support winning Senate campaigns.
Campaigns Director desired skills and qualifications:
At least two cycles of paid campaign experience; prior campaign management and/or senior staffer experience are required.
Experience using NGP/VAN, ActBlue, and other campaign software.
Able to build relationships, trust, and rapport with a variety of stakeholders.
Quick problem-solving skills and solutions-oriented mindset. Must be able to take, give and implement feedback quickly and efficiently.
Ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines and keep calm in stressful situations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
Reliable access to a computer and personal transportation is required
Campaigns Director compensation:
$7,000 monthly salary, commensurate with experience
