North Carolina Coordinated Campaign Campus and Youth Vote Director
The 2024 North Carolina Democratic Coordinated Campaign is seeking an experienced Campus and Youth Vote Director to lead and manage a diverse and robust campus team in North Carolina. We are looking for passionate, hardworking individuals who are committed to building the grassroots turnout operation across all North Carolina campuses needed to re-elect President Biden and win elections up and down the ballot for Democrats in November 2024. This position will report to an Organizing Manager and is based in North Carolina.
This is a temporary full-time position through the 2024 election cycle.
Job Description
Hire, train, and supervise accountable campus staff and organizers across campuses to weekly voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals.
Coach and supervise campus staff and organizers around campus engagement best practices and student voter mobilization.
Develop and execute an innovative campus organizing plan across dozens of campuses that is in line with the statewide priorities and objectives of the statewide program.
Build and execute a youth vote turnout operation for election day, early vote and absentee voting periods.
Build and implement systems and structures to lead a region to hit daily, weekly metric goals.
Oversee and ensure timely and accurate reporting and data management.
Manage a diverse team with different experiences and perspectives, and a commitment to helping staff grow and succeed.
Keep your team focused and motivated in a high-stress, rigorous work schedule and environment.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
3 cycles of campaign organizing or equivalent experience.
Previous experience organizing on college campuses is preferred but not required..
Alumni from North Carolina colleges or universities preferred but not required.
Willingness to work in the field offices and on various campuses with your team.
Ability to create a motivating and inclusive culture.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively and clearly communicate with organizers, activists and campus leaders.
Must have access to a cell phone, vehicle and ability to relocate if necessary.
Salary and Benefits
This position is salaried starting at $6,5000 per month commensurate with experience . This position is based in North Carolina and requires occasional travel.
All full-time employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package, 100% covered by NCDP. This includes medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Benefits become active on your first day of employment. Employees can add partners and dependents to health benefits but are responsible for covering the additional cost. Full-time employees also receive unlimited paid time off on an as needed basis subject to employer approval, two floating holidays, and paid holidays.
This is not a CWG bargaining unit position.
