Location: Kansas (Statewide travel required)
Compensation: $2,500 for the 6-week program period
Adam Hamilton is running for Senate to lower costs, protect Kansas hospitals, bring good jobs home, and work with anyone who will help put Kansas first. Guided by his faith and commitment to community, he has worked to support opportunities and strengthen communities across Kansas.
Vote Kansas is hiring Campus Mobilizers to maximize support and turnout for Adam Hamilton across college and university campuses. Mobilizers will serve as the primary organizers for student engagement efforts, leading high-traffic canvassing, phone banking, text outreach, and event execution. This is a part-time and temporary paid position running from September 26 through November 3.
Recruit, train, and manage a team of 5–10 student volunteers on campus.
Execute a minimum of 3 in-person voter contact and student engagement events per week, including high-traffic canvassing, tabling, phone calls, and texting campaigns.
Plan, promote, and execute early vote and GOTV operations, including polling site visibility and relational peer-to-peer turnout pushes.
Establish partnerships and co-host nonpartisan events with relevant campus organizations, Greek life, cultural groups, and student government.
Submit weekly qualitative reports covering event metrics, attendee activity, and student feedback.
Support candidate campus visits and execute high-visibility moments at major campus events (e.g., tailgates, homecoming, Free Food Fridays).
Escalate student volunteers into leadership roles to support Early Vote (EV) and Get Out The Vote (GOTV) operations.
Attend virtual onboarding, regular virtual trainings, and twice-weekly check-ins via Google Meet with the Regional Organizing Director.
Enthusiasm for electing Adam Hamilton and expanding voter turnout across Kansas.
Commitment to increasing student engagement on campus
Interest and background in planning and promoting events and working with campus groups and organizations
Ability to think creatively, be solutions oriented and motivate peers to do the same
Responsible, highly communicative and self motivated
Goal-oriented and self-disciplined; able to meet tight deadlines and multitask
Campus Mobilizers must commit 15 hours per week from September 26 through November 3.
In addition to $2,500 for the 6-week program, Mobilizers will also receive up to $1,000 in discretionary budget for event spending and GOTV outreach efforts ($500 pre-GOTV / $500 during GOTV).
