JOB DESCRIPTION

Campus Mobilizers will be the campaign’s on-the-ground messengers for young voters. They will be responsible for registering voters, mobilizing college students, executing voter contact events, and representing the campaign on their assigned campuses.

This position is part-time in-person, based in Kansas, and requires some travel.

Remote work options will not be available for this position.

No experience necessary! All training is provided.

 

Required Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, and desire to organize for Adam Hamilton on campus

  • Reliable access to transportation, internet, and a personal cell phone you can use for work

  • Strong communication skills - must be able to speak with and persuade all kinds of voters

  • Drive to hit and exceed ambitious metric goals, and ability to take feedback from managers

  • Excellent time management skills, flexibility, and a willingness to problem-solve effectively

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work long, irregular hours - including weekends

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use a variety of tactics including phone calls, texts, and high-traffic canvassing to recruit volunteers and mobilize voters on assigned campus community

  • Build, train, and coach a team of volunteers and volunteer leaders to execute a large-scale student mobilization effort, including Welcome Week events to mobilize young voters, meeting with professors, and training volunteer teams across your campus

  • Spread our campaign message through direct voter contact by knocking on doors, making phone calls, registering voters, high-traffic canvassing on campuses and at events, dorm storms, and attending in-person and virtual events

  • Develop creative ways to engage voters on and around university campuses

  • Plan for and use a number of tactics to hit daily and weekly metric goals for voter contact and volunteer engagement

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

 

Compensation: This part-time position starts at 15 hours per week, and is compensated at $20 per hour. Campus Mobilizers’ weekly hours can be expanded depending on campaign needs, Mobilizer availability, and individual job performance. ****This temporary, non-exempt position is anticipated to end no later than November 2024.
