Job Title: Campus Organizer

Location: DFW, Texas - Harris County - Bexar County 

Reports To: DFW Regional Organizing Director

Start Date: Approx. June 15th, 2025

End Date: October 15, 2025

 

The Role:

The Cornerstone Project is seeking hardworking and ambitious candidates to join our youth voter registration and leadership development efforts in Texas.

The Campus Organizer will work closely with the Regional Organizing Director to oversee and execute the organization’s grassroots organizing and voter registration strategies on their specific campus. This role involves managing organizing staff, coordinating outreach efforts, developing voter registration strategies, and ensuring the successful implementation of voter registration programs on a specific campus. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support Organizing Strategies:
  • Lead Voter Registration at target campuses. 

  • Contribute to the creation of outreach strategies and training materials.

  1. Team Management:
  • Supervise and mentor Cornerstone Fellows, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance.

  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance evaluations, and professional development sessions.

  1. Data Management:
  • Manage the delivery and collection of data. 

  • Assist the Quality Control team with Data Entry, as needed. 

  1. Problem-Solving and Crisis Management:
  • Address and resolve issues that arise within the organizing team or during voter registration activities.

  • Provide solutions to unforeseen challenges and ensure continuity of voter registration efforts.

  1. Reporting and Communication:
  • Report progress and outcomes of voter registration activities to the Regional Organizing Director and other senior staff.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and fellows 

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 cycle of organizing experience is preferred but not required.

  • Proven experience in managing and leading teams.

  • Strong understanding of organizing principles, voter registration strategies, and community engagement.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of flexibility.

  • Must currently reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and/or be willing to relocate to begin employment. 

Additional Information:

  • The position will require regular evening and weekend work. From June through July you will be expected to work 45 - 50 hours per week. From August through the Voter Registration deadline in October, you will be expected to work up to 55 hours per week.

  • Applicants must have reliable access to a car, computer, and phone.

  • Regular travel around the Dallas-Fort Worth area will be required.

  • This position will require daily work outdoors and regular walking around college campuses.

Compensation:

This position pays $5,000 per month. Your compensation package also includes 100% medical, dental, and vision coverage and PTO.
