NHSDC Candidate Services Director
The New Hampshire Senate Democratic Caucus runs State Senate campaigns, in order to maintain and grow our majority. For the 2024 election cycle we will be looking for a dynamic, dedicated, hard-working individual to service our campaigns as the primary liaison between candidate campaigns, Caucus Leadership and consultants.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Work with consultant to develop highly tailored campaign plan and work with
campaign to implement the following plans:
o Field Plan (including community organizing)
o Training Materials
o Fundraising Plan
o Plan for Victory (strategic calendar)
Field:
o District & Town Analysis
o Work with campaign to implement field campaign
o Door knocking planning, and partner group activation
o VAN management
o Training on volunteer recruitment, persuasion scripts, candidate motivation
Personnel:
o Recruit and train qualified campaign managers
o Develop team work ethic between candidate, staff and consultant
Tracking and Campaign Management :
o Work with campaign and National Partners to track field and fundraising
o Produce reports on campaign progress for caucus leadership
o Assist Campaign Managers and Candidates with everyday operations.
Skills /Experience needed:
Ability to plan and use time according to a plan
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work nights and weekends
Access to a car and available to drive for work
Experience working on state legislative campaigns or other campaigns before, ideally in a campaign management position
Ability to think outside the box
Ability to work as a team
This is a great opportunity to gain experience in all facets of political campaigning and to experience New Hampshire’s grassroots campaigning first-hand. Applications accepted on a rolling basis. Salary is $5,000- $5,500 per month. Health, dental and vision insurance coverage is available at no cost to the employee.
