● No prior campaign experience is necessary to apply for or serve in this role, though
candidates with demonstrated experience in politics, organizing, or issue advocacy will
receive priority consideration.
● You are at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the USA
● You are comfortable knocking doors and talking to voters
● You are committed to the success of the campaign on which you work
● You plan to continue in your role through Election Day, November 5, 2024
● You can manage multiple tasks, relationships & responsibilities at once
● You have a Gmail account and are proficient with Google Suite products
● Meet weekly and monthly goals and program benchmarks as defined by NCSDC
Required Skills & Qualifications

● Access to a vehicle, as well as a valid driver’s license
● Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends closer to the
election
This is a part time position with the James Mercer Campaign, beginning September 3rd and
concluding November 5th- Election Day 2024. Canvassing Fellows will be paid $22 hourly. This
role will be based in person in North Carolina Senate District 11, which includes Rocky Mount,
Nashville, Louisberg, Henderson, and more rural parts of Eastern North Carolina, and the ability
to work remotely will not be available. This will include a significant amount of driving.
