JOB DESCRIPTION

Cause Campaign Partners is a progressive advocacy firm that specializes in engaging grassroots and grasstops leaders to promote action on critical issues. Our team has a successful track record of planning highly effective earned media events and advocacy actions around the country and across broad coalitions. While much of our work is focused on environmental issues, climate action, and the clean energy transition, we also work on health equity and affordable access to health insurance. We are a firm that looks for alignment with our clients’ missions and values to ensure a fully engaged working relationship that delivers success in meeting our client’s goals.

Cause Campaign Partners is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our small but dedicated staff to serve as a full-time associate with the firm. We are seeking someone with prior electoral and advocacy campaign experience who can work closely with our team members in supporting their complex and fast-moving project work. The qualified individual is proactive, efficient, solution oriented, with excellent communication skills. This Cause Campaign Partners Associate would manage the logistics planning for events, assist the senior team members with their overall event planning and materials, as well as track the performance of our actions including post event reporting.

Position Location:

While the current team members at Cause Campaign Partners work virtually, there is a strong preference for candidates that reside in the Washington, D.C. metro area, particularly during the first six months of starting the position. Travel outside of DC, while rare, is sometimes required. Occasional work on evenings and weekends is required.

Job Responsibilities:

•  Manage and oversee the logistics planning of assigned Cause Campaign Partners events;

•  Promptly and effectively communicate logistics planning details to the involved Cause Campaign Partners team members and outside partners to ensure event details are in sync;

•  Assist senior Cause Campaign Partners team members with managing event planning by:

  • Ensuring concept memos are up to date;

  • Communications materials are updated with speaker details as confirmed;

  • Updating master event tracking sheet to ensure timely updates about event development;

  • Ensuring that different events are compatible and aligned in schedule and timing;

•  Report on current event planning details;

•  Troubleshoot and problem solve logistics issues as they arise;

  • Provide post event support including:

  • Media clips searching;

  • Post event photo and video review;

  • Draft summary reports;

•  Ensure success and high quality of all facets of assigned projects;

•  Assist with other project work as assigned; and

•  Professionally represent Cause Campaign Partners in all interactions.

Reporting:

The Associate will work closely with Senior Cause Campaign Partners team members and report to Cause Campaign Partners Managing Director.

Qualifications:

•  Minimum of two cycles of professional experience on a combination of electoral and issue-based campaigns;

•  Understanding of organizing and public engagement strategies and tactics;

•  A demonstrable record of successful logistics management;

•  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;

•  Skilled with using Google suite programs and managing digital files;

•  Experience and comfort with spreadsheets and managing basic data sets;

•  Flexibility in adjusting to the needs of clients and the ever-shifting realities of project management;

•  Confident in problem solving, but humble and aware enough to know when to ask for help;

•  Ability to work in and adapt to a fast-moving, team-oriented environment;

•  Skilled and disciplined at working individually on projects but also strong interpersonal skills to work effectively as a team member;

•  Enthusiasm for building trust and relationships with team members, vendors, and clients; and

•  Positive attitude that views challenges as opportunities for growth and learning.
