Chief Communications Officer
The CCO will oversee JDCA’s external communications, rapid response, media relations, and digital strategy. Reporting to the Chief of Staff and working in close coordination with the CEO and Board of Directors, the CCO will manage a growing team of staff and consultants to elevate JDCA’s profile. Develop and execute an integrated, multi-channel communications strategy for elections.
Lead JDCA’s brand positioning, ensuring a consistent and compelling voice across all platforms, including Substack, social media, and national press.
Serve as a primary advisor to the CEO on public relations and high-level political messaging.
Work directly with and manage JDCA’s media and digital consultants.
Oversee the drafting of press releases, statements, op-eds, and communications materials for the CEO and Board members.
Lead the organization's rapid response efforts, reacting to breaking news in the political and Jewish communal space with speed and strategic precision.
Directly manage the Communications Director and press and digital teams.
Work and collaborate with the Organizing and Political departments to align communications with voter contact goals and policy priorities.
Supervise the production of scripts and questions for virtual and in-person JDCA programs.
Oversee JDCA’s digital presence, including social media amplification, email marketing, and paid media and advertising.
Champion creative content initiatives, such as video production and the growth of JDCA's TikTok, Substack, and Instagram presence.
Political Communications Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of high-level political communications experience required. Preference for individuals with 8-10+ years of experience in Congressional offices, campaigns, non-profits, and/or advocacy organizations.
Management and Leadership: Proven track record of managing high-performing teams, including internal staff and external agencies.
Knowledge Base: Deep understanding of U.S. politics and Jewish communal issues.
Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex policy issues into action-oriented recommendations.

This role offers great opportunities for growth and mobility within the organization. Salary commensurate with the applicant’s qualifications, starting at $125,000.
