Responsibilities Include:
Content Creation
Work directly with the Digital Content Director on storytelling across social media platforms
Edit video content
Produce high-quality graphics and images
Draft social media copy
Capture video and still photos at campaign events
Maintain and organize digital content and asset libraries
Schedule social media content to post on platforms via Sprout
General Campaign Support
Staff campaign events across the 14th district
Work with the Digital Content Director and the Senior Advisor to identify individuals, organizations, and projects in the district to highlight on social media
Lead outreach to campaign filming opportunities
Applicants must have:
Proficiency in professional video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci, or similar)
Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital storytelling
Excellent writing and communication skills
Familiarity with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
Reliable transportation
Applicants will be considered more competitive if they have:
Previous speechwriting experience
Previous campaign, political communications, or journalism experience
An interest in Illinois politics, or an understanding of local/national issues
Compensation:
Salary: $4,000 - $5,000 / month
Healthcare benefits (includes dental/vision coverage)
Mileage reimbursement
Compensation will be competitive and based on prior experience.
