JOB DESCRIPTION

Susan Crawford for Wisconsin is looking for highly motivated individuals who will work 15-20 hours per week, in-person, during the spring of 2025. This internship is an excellent opportunity for those interested in learning more about the inner workings of communications on a statewide political campaign organization. Fighting to retain a pro-democracy majority on the court in one of the most important races of 2025, this campaign will have both statewide and national implications. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with the communication and research teams and help maintain press lists and distribute materials

  • Compile daily news clips and monitor news coverage

  • Assist with drafting written materials for internal and external use, including talking points, press releases, statements, and memos

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Deputy Press Secretary.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Interest in learning more about campaign communications, research, and more

  • Ability to handle confidential matters and information

  • Cultural Competency – able to build relationships and collaborate with colleagues, voters, and volunteers who identify as BIPOC and across lines of difference
