  • Update JDCA’s website daily with press hits, action items, and other resources.

  • Support the communications team in creating and loading written content for the JDCA website.

  • Draft scripts for JDCA events, emails with political analysis, event promotion, or fundraising pitches to JDCA’s active volunteers and members.

  • Load and send emails to JDCA’s full list of volunteers and segmented groups.

  • Develop and manage an automated email series for new JDCA volunteers and members.

  • Support the communications team in rapid response efforts.

  • Analyze metrics to increase performance on social media, email, and other platforms.

  • Support other departments as needed.

Experience & Qualifications

  • At least one cycle of prior campaign or political communications experience, including developing content for a political candidate, an elected official, a Democratic or Jewish organization, or an agency working in support of such candidates or organizations.

  • Excellent writing and spoken communication skills.

  • A strong understanding of Democratic politics and policies.

  • Graphic design and video editing experience are preferred.

  • Experience working with WordPress websites is preferred.

  • Experience creating lists and sending emails through EveryAction is preferred.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic portfolio of responsibilities and managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Self-starter and creative problem solver with strong organizational, interpersonal, and team-building skills.

  • Strong time-management, presentation, and communication skills, attention to detail, and multi-tasking abilities.

  • Commitment to the election of candidates who share Jewish and Democratic values.

This role will end in November 2024. While there is no guarantee, there is potential for an extension. Annual salary commensurate with the applicant’s qualifications, ranging from $60,000 to $65,000. JDCA provides generous benefits including paid time off, health/vision/dental insurance, and an employee-matched simple IRA. JDCA fosters a collaborative, warm, and welcoming culture.
