Communications Manager
The Communications Manager will be responsible for JDCA’s social media presence, email marketing execution, and website maintenance. Reporting to the Communications Director and working closely with the communications team and consultants, the Manager will ensure JDCA’s voice is consistent and timely across all digital platforms. This role is preferred to be based in Washington, D.C.
Draft, design, and schedule daily social media content across TikTok, Instagram, Twitter/X, and Facebook.
Analyze digital trends and social media metrics to increase JDCA’s reach and engagement with new followers.
Create compelling graphics and short-form video content to highlight JDCA’s priorities and endorsed candidates.
Monitor the news and social media for relevant stories and current events for JDCA to engage on.
Lead the technical execution of JDCA’s email program, including loading, testing, and sending mass emails.
Draft scripts and content for JDCA’s Substack videos and emails, action alerts, petitions and other calls to action, and press releases.
Manage regular website updates, ensuring press hits, emails, statements, and event information are accurately posted and maintained.
Relevant Experience: 1-2 years of experience in digital communications, social media management, or content creation, preferably within a political or non-profit setting.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in EveryAction/NGP, Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, and social media management tools are strongly preferred.
Knowledge Base: An understanding of and interest in U.S. politics and Jewish communal issues.
Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex policy issues into action-oriented recommendations.

This role offers great opportunities for growth and mobility within the organization. Salary commensurate with the applicant’s qualifications, ranging from $60,000 to $70,000.
