JOB DESCRIPTION

AL Media ( www.almediastrategy.com), a fast-paced, award-winning political media firm is looking for a Competitive Media Analyst to join our growing team. The best fit for our firm is an individual who is familiar with political campaigns and has experience working with data. Candidates should have superb organizational and analytical skills and excellent time management. Our firm is based in Chicago, IL. This is a remote position and is open to candidates anywhere.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tracking competitive spending in excess of a dozen races. Campaigns range from federal to statewide to caucus races. 

  • Developing relationships with station representatives to obtain up-to-the-minute information.

  • Documenting all spending in reports in our proprietary software and share updated reports in timely fashion with clients.

  • Developing and tailoring reporting formats for each client. 

  • Offering basic analysis of spending information to ensure accuracy. 

  • Maintaining the firm’s high standard of comprehensive client services that meet deadlines and exceed client expectations. 

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Superb organization skills. 

  • Deep experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects in fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.

  • Flexible schedule and ability to work evenings and weekends.

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Political Science, Statistics, or a related field.
