A Congressional Candidate in the Houston area seeks a finance staffer to manage candidate call time and assist the finance team with in-state and national events. This is a full time position based in Houston, TX. The finance staffer will work closely with the consulting team to execute an ambitious call time plan, and once a finance director is hired, a broader finance plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Researching current and prospective donors.
Producing call sheets, tracking and completing necessary follow-up
Preparing call lists for national and in-state events
Staffing call time
Keeping finance plan up-to-date
Working with Finance Director (once hired) and consulting team to build successful fundraising events
Other duties as needed by members of the Finance and Campaign leadership teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum one cycle of campaign experience in a dedicated finance role (internship/fellowship experience does count toward this)
Experience with NGP and other finance software, and proficiency with Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.), and G Suite (Google Drive, Google Sheets, Gmail, etc.)
Lives in or willing to relocate to Houston, Texas for the duration of this campaign cycle.
Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Work extended hours, including nights and weekends as needed.

Salary is commensurate with experience. Preferred start date is by May 15th but is negotiable.
