Job Description:
The Democratic Party of New Mexico (DPNM) is seeking dedicated Congressional District Organizers to support party-building activities and voter registration efforts. Our grassroots infrastructure spans all 33 counties, working to energize and empower local communities to deliver Democratic victories up and down the ticket. We are specifically looking for organizers to manage outreach efforts in New Mexico’s First and Third Congressional Districts. The job will be based in the district. A combination between remote and in-person at events in the district is expected.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist party leaders in developing volunteer networks.
Train volunteers on conducting phone banks, canvassing, and voter registration.
Utilize volunteer networks to achieve recruitment goals.
Plan and manage surrogate events.
Drive voter turnout in your congressional district.
Provide one-on-one and group training for volunteers.
Conduct outreach to constituency groups, Democratic clubs, and organizations.
Focus efforts on key areas and groups to bolster support.

Qualifications:
Enthusiasm for Democratic values and candidates.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to train and instruct volunteers effectively.
Strong listening skills and effective communication, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational, management, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in setting and achieving measurable targets, managing teams, and coordinating among multiple stakeholders.
Ability to handle multiple priority projects and meet deadlines.
Capability to execute strategic goals and collaborate with regional and local leaders.
Enjoy engaging with diverse members of the public.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Experience working for or volunteering on political campaigns is highly preferred but not required.
Fluency in or knowledge of Spanish and/or naive languages spoken in New Mexico a plus but not required.
