Department: Digital Reports To: Digital Director
A senate race in Kansas is hiring a Content Producer who can shoot, edit, and ship video fast. You will travel with the candidate, cover campaign events, and produce content that performs online and feeds into the paid media pipeline. If you do your best work with a camera in hand and a tight deadline in front of you, this role is built for you.
Responsibilities
Produce high-quality video, photo, and graphic content for the campaign’s digital and social media channels.
Travel with the candidate and to campaign events to capture footage and photography for use across platforms.
Edit and produce video content quickly for rapid deployment on social media, email, and digital advertising.
Develop original creative concepts for digital content in coordination with the Digital Director and Communications Director.
Maintain and organize the campaign’s media asset library.
Produce content for livestreams, virtual events, and online town halls.
Ensure all content meets brand guidelines and quality standards.
Experience & Qualifications
Demonstrated experience producing video and multimedia content, preferably in a political, news, or fast-paced media environment.
Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent tools.
Experience with photography and graphic design for social media platforms.
Comfort working in uncontrolled environments and producing content under tight deadlines.
A portfolio of prior work demonstrating strong visual storytelling ability.
What Success Looks Like
Success for the campaign’s Content Producer is measured by the volume, quality, and engagement performance of original content produced for the campaign’s digital channels, and by the ability to capture compelling moments in the field and turn them around quickly for publication.
Compensation: $60,000
