American Experiment Project (AEP) is a culture-first communications and production house reshaping the way civic and political information is framed on cultural platforms. We work with content creators, podcasters, advocacy groups, celebrities, athletes, artists, and more to produce coordinated surround sound programs focused on reaching news-avoidant Gen Z and Millennial Americans.
We’re seeking a creative, detail-oriented ** Content Strategist** with approximately** 1-4 years of experience** to support our content strategy, development, partnerships, and program execution to build progressive media power across digital platforms. This role is ideal for a project manager and digital native who thrives in a virtual collaborative environment and is eager to build new verticals and grow their impact.
Lead the creation and execution of new content verticals including planning, writing, posting, and tracking content
Identify high-quality political content that is persuasive and has the potential to generate significant reach and engagement through amplification
Assist in content performance reporting using tools like Google Sheets to track analytics across platforms like Youtube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook
Conduct research to inform strategy and content development
Be able to produce simple social-first video content using tools like OpusClip or CapCut
Recognize and be able to maintain brand voice and style across multiple content channels
Contribute to editorial brainstorming sessions and campaign development
Be able to translate complex topics into dynamic, persuasive, and far-reaching messages
Assist with external partnerships and collaboration on meetings and through external communications
Stay up-to-date on political and cultural news to inform our content strategy
1-4 years of experience in content writing and strategy, marketing, or a related field
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and work quickly
Familiarity and enjoyment of all things organic social media
Proficiency with software tools such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, Canva, Slack, Signal, OpusClip, and ChatGPT
Knowledge of social media best practices and platform trends
Ability to learn quickly, take feedback, collaborate well, and work independently
Basic video editing skills and/or graphic design experience preferred
Familiarity with political, progressive, nonprofit, or advocacy spaces
Collaborative, respectful, proactive, and excited to build power for the progressive movement
This position is a full-time contract role available immediately running through December 31, 2025 with the possibility for extension. The compensation range for this role is $5,000-$7,000 monthly, commensurate with experience. This is a fully remote position, and a reliable computer and internet connection is required.
