Job Description: Video Director
Rebecca Cooke for Congress is seeking a Video Director to join our growing team for the 2026 election cycle. The Video Director will be responsible for filming Rebecca, surrogates, and supporters on the campaign trail, developing video concepts, editing footage to reinforce core messaging priorities, and capturing the enthusiasm behind Rebecca's campaign for Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District. Ideal candidates will be team players and bring a strong creative perspective with a demonstrated ability to tell compelling stories.
The position is full-time with an ASAP start date. This position is based in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Responsibilities:
Help communicate Rebecca’s story and message to voters using visual media
Script, produce, and edit video content, including long format videos, short format videos, as well as rapid response video and motion graphics assets
Work with the Communications Director to create compelling content that engages our supporters and grows our following
Gather assets at campaign events from the candidate, surrogates, and Wisconsin supporters
Posting content created on social media platforms
Help produce video and graphic assets for other departments as needed
Manage and organize all video assets in an accessible way for internal and external use
Additional responsibilities as needed while on trips with the candidate and campaign
Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience filming, editing, and producing videos
Campaign or issue-based experience is preferred, but not required
Experience creating digital content for social media channels, and an understanding of how to create optimized content for each channel
Proficiency with Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and other video editing software
Experience developing content for emerging platforms such as TikTok and Snapchat
Understands how to set up a shot and light a subject effectively
Flexibility, patience, empathy, and willingness to adapt quickly and easily
Comfort with a flexible schedule, valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle, as this role will require regular travel
