As an intern, you will be a key part of the DASS team, working collaboratively with the different departments with the goal of protecting and electing the Democratic State Secretaries on the ballot for the 2026 cycle. In this role, you will be a part of a highly collaborative, fast-paced, and friendly team that works with donors, partners, and campaigns. While working to elect Democratic Secretaries of State, you will learn the ins and outs of working at a committee, and be a part of these critical electoral efforts going into the midterm elections.
Job Responsibilities:
Support Democratic State Secretaries and State Secretary campaigns across the country
Donor research and database maintenance
Supporting our communications strategy with research based assignments, tracking media hits and other public information
Assisting in the day-to-day operations of the committee
Work alongside key partners and volunteers on behalf of the organization
Other special projects as assigned
Additional Requirements:
Strong communication and writing skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Experience with G Suite
Ability to work in a virtual environment
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Passion and commitment to Democratic candidates and causes
Ability to work well with a diverse staff with unique areas of expertise who are a part of other departments
Qualifications (Preferred):
Previous campaign experience, even as a volunteer
Experience with NGP VAN
Commitment to saving democracy
