The Michigan Democratic Party is seeking a Data Analyst, based in Detroit, MI, to support the Biden Campaign and Democrats up and down the ballot. We are looking for individuals with a variety of backgrounds and experience, and are dedicated to building a team that looks like America.
Prepare and analyze datasets to extract meaningful campaign insights
Build and maintain reporting products and visualizations in line with programmatic priorities
Work with a cohesive team to execute projects with accuracy, attention to detail, and timeliness
Respond to data support requests and flags
Other tasks as needed in support of the Coordinated campaign
1+ years of experience as a data analyst, research analyst, or data staff on a campaign
1+ years of experience using SQL professionally
Expert-level Google Sheets experience
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
A desire to ask questions, receive constructive feedback, and grow as a professional
A desire to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and implement creative solutions to unique problems
Commitment to equity and inclusion in working with staff and other stakeholders
Capacity and desire to work long hours in a campaign setting
Experience working with political data (especially VAN)
Experience using Google BigQuery
Experience using Looker Studio or Hex
Experience volunteering or working on a political campaign data team
This position will report to the Deputy Data Director for Analytics.
This position offers a starting salary of $5000 per month and includes a full benefits package with health, vision and dental insurance.
